Meet Our Staff

Tom McKarns  —  President
Tom has spent over 40 years in the analytical instrument business, including 15 years with Mettler-Toledo (the last 9 in Zürich Switzerland as Intl. Sales Manager responsible for sales and distribution in the UK, Netherlands, South Africa and Asia). Upon returning to the US he started ECO PHYSICS, INC. as the exclusive distributor offering sales distribution and service for the environmental and medical application NO and NOx analyzers from Swiss based ECO PHYSICS AG and ECO MEDICS AG.

Tom enjoys cycling, skiing, gardening and family activities. He is active in the local scene and belongs to several trade and environmental organizations.

Kirsti Hilbert  —  
Office Manager
Kirsti is responsible for all office management, including accounting, customer service and sales administration activities. She has worked in the automotive testing services field for the last several years and is familiar with environmental regulations.

She enjoys gardening, traveling and spending time with her family.

Tony joined us in 2015 after working with CNC milling machines , robotic welding systems and operating heavy equipment. He received many months of on the job training by our retired service contractor, Wayne Burkhardt and subsequently has been to Switzerland 3 times to the ECO PHYSICS AG factory for additional training.

Tony enjoys any outdoor activity, hunting and golf.

TJ Baker - Product Manager for medical research products & Technical Sales Specialist
TJ is responsible for the sales of medical research products. He has been active in respiratory and ventilation products for the past 12 years and joined us in the Spring of 2020. TJ is based in Ann Arbor, MI.

He enjoys working in the yard, watching & participating in sports and travel with his family.

Anthony joined us in February of 2023. He is responsible for the sales of Industrial/Research products. Anthony lives in Livonia, MI.

He enjoys time with his family, walking his dog, and watching football.
